Carol has a Master’s degree in Education and Family and Consumer Science. She taught 7 years in middle school in New York City and 23 years in middle and high school in Monroe Township, New Jersey. In 2002 she retired from teaching and has been in the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Freehold branch. She has been president of the branch for 4 years and has been Vice President of the AAUW-NJ State. She began volunteering in CentraState Hospital working with the Handicapped Scuba Association of NJ working with people with Special Needs and the Wounded Warriors. Her diving experience began in 1969. She was certified by PADI in 1972 as an Open Water Diver and is certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver and a Handicapped SCUBA Buddy. Her diving experience includes: Florida, New Jersey, Caribbean, Red Sea, Hawaii and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia on live aboards.
